Senior Verification Engineer

Requirements:

BSEE, 3+ years experience in ASIC Verification.

Experience in several of the following areas is also desirable:

  • Testbench design
  • Constrained random verification with functional coverage
  • SystemVerilog
  • SystemC
  • e Language

Employee will be responsible for identification of functional coverage points, development of constrained random testbenches, and writing directed tests

IC Mask Designer

Responsible for custom layout and verification of analog and mixed-signal ICs in CMOS process technologies. Responsible for layout schedule, floor planning, physical layout, verification, and tapeout activities.

    Requirements:

  • 3+ years of mask design experience.
  • Experience and proficiency working with Cadence Virtuoso XL and Composer, parasitic extraction tools, Assura or Calibre verification tools.
  • Experience designing in TSMC 0.18um/0.13um process.
  • Experience in the development of CMOS ADCs, DACs, PLLs, and IO ESD structures.
  • Knowledge of Linux and Solaris operating systems.
  • Solid understanding of ESD, latchup, mixed-signal routing and isolation.
  • Must be able to work at the cell, block and chip level.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work in a small group.
  • Self-starter and able to work independently with little supervision.
  • Must have good initiative and follow through.
Engineering Technician

Looking for a person to manage the day to day operation of our R&D lab, including setting up and running test platforms, soldering/desoldering, equipment inventory and calibration tracking, maintaining stock of general lab electronic supplies. The succesful candidate will have strong communication skills and be able to work with minimal supervision given general requirements.

    Skills

  • Soldering/Desoldering, including fine pitch components
  • Circuit prototyping
  • Hands-on experience with a variety of test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.)
  • Evaluating prototype products for performance. Gather and interpret data.
  • Schematic Capture
  • Locating and purchasing of equipment and components.

Senior Applications Engineer (multiple positions)

Primary focus will be in supporting the deployment of Vativ's HDMI receiver ICs.As a Senior Applications Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting our customers during their evaluation and design cycles. You will be involved in all phases of the customer design process from concept through system implementation, and be able to contribute to the resolution of problems in the areas of hardware and software. Successful applicants will be expected to travel as required to provide support at the customer's site.

The position will require you to work closely with local applications and engineering staff in order to quickly resolve customer questions and issues. You must have good listening, written and verbal English skills.

    Experience in the following areas is advantageous,

  • Extensive experience in DTV customer support.
  • Knowledge of HDMI and HDCP specifications
  • Experience in DVI and HDMI driver development
  • Experience in DTV designs, and/or application support.
  • Documentation of design specifications for evaluation boards, production ICs, and customer documents (e.g. datasheets and application notes)
  • Embedded software/driver development.
  • DTV standards
  • Circuit analysis and debug
  • Lab experience using high speed scopes, logic/network analyzers etc
  • Schematic design: evaluation boards, simple filters and power supplies, FPGA and embedded micro-controllers (e.g. Microchip), interface circuits, inrush protection, signal integrity, high speed differential signaling.
  • Programming in Ruby/Perl.

3+ years industry experience is required, BSEE is a plus. Relevant experience is considered above all.
