Vativ Technologies has assembled a strong and experienced management team with proven successes at major semiconductor and components companies as well as at networking and communications startups.
Before joining Vativ, Mr. Tullie was the CEO of Path 1 Network Technologies (recently acquired), a leading provider of IP video transport products to broadcasters, satellite operators, cable multi-system operators (MSOs), and telecom operators. He has a proven track record of successfully building leading-edge technology companies, as evidenced by his success as Chief Operating Officer of Applied Micro Circuits Corporation (AMCC), a broad-based provider of integrated circuits and printed circuit board assemblies for a range of optical transport, switching, routing and storage networking solutions. During his tenure at AMCC, Mr. Tullie also led the company’s sales, marketing and operations organizations and was GM of the Communications Division.
Dr. Raghavan has extensive experience in the design and development of high performance broadband integrated circuits (ICs). Prior to founding Vativ, Sreen co-founded and served as Chief Technology Officer at Comcore Semiconductor, Inc., a venture-backed startup that developed DSP-based Gigabit Ethernet physical layer and media access controller ICs. After National Semiconductor's acquisition of Comcore in 1998, Dr. Raghavan continued to head National's San Diego design center until founding Vativ Technologies in 2001. He recieved a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, and recieved his Masters and PH.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, San Diego.
Mr. Vertrees brings to Vativ over 13 years of engineering design and management experience in high-speed CMOS VLSI designs. He has led highly successful design teams at National Semiconductor, Comcore Semiconductor, and Doctor Design (which was later acquired by Wind River), completing projects in Gigabit Ethernet physical layer chips, digital satellite receivers, and wireless LAN chipsets. Keith received a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the California Institute of Technology.
Mr. Blazevich was most recently Chief Financial Officer of Staccato Communications, an Ultra Wideband (UWB) wireless technology pioneer and Wireless USB leader. He brings more than 14 years of finance and corporate accounting experience from both the semiconductor and public accounting industries. He joined Staccato from AMCC, where he had served as interim CFO and Vice President, Controller.
Mr. Bowles has more than 20 years in the semiconductor industry and is a veteran and founder of several fabless start-ups where he has successfully raised 14 rounds of venture capital financing totaling more than $130 million. He brings to Vativ extensive experience in launching new products, establishing sales channels, and a network of relationships with consumer electronic and home entertainment customers in Asia and Europe. Most recently, he was co-founder and Vice President, Marketing and Business Development, Staccato Communications.
Kazuyuki (Ken) Morikawa has over 15 years sales and marketing experience in the semiconductor industry. During this time, he has held a variety of leadership positions at Phillips Semiconductors in Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States. Mr. Morikawa received a Bachelor of Electronics Engineering from Tokyo Denki University.
Responsible for all manufacturing operations including foundry and subcontractor relationships, Mr. LeBlanc has a broad technical background in product engineering, functional product/test engineering, and project management. Previously, he led product development efforts at Artisan (formerly Nurlogic), Broadcom, and Conexant Systems (formerly Brooktree/Rockwell Semiconductor). Rocky holds a bachelors degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from San Diego State University.
